Case Manager /
Occupational Therapist, Community Rehabilitation Service
Helen qualified as an Occupational Therapist from the University of Lancaster, and joined ACM as a Case Manager for Adults in 2009. She also practices as an Occupational Therapist within the Community Rehabilitation Service.
Since joining ACM, Helen has worked with a number of young adult clients with high level, and complex cognitive and psycho-social challenges. Helen particularly enjoys working with the clients who have emotional, cognitive and behavioural changes as a result of their brain injury, assisting them with moving forward to independent living. She has also had responsibility for the recruitment and management of support staff for clients with complex needs.
As part of her work with the Community Rehabilitation Service, Helen manages and carries out bespoke assessments and rehabilitation programmes assisting clients to achieve goals in a variety of areas from general independence to more specific life skills such as return to driving.
Helen is an Advanced member of BABICM.
