Amanda joined ACM in January 2009 as a Case Manager working with Children and Young People.

Amanda qualified as a Social Worker in 2002, but has worked in the field of social care with children and young people since 1994.

Prior to joining ACM, Amanda was part of a multi-disciplinary team working with disabled young people with complex needs. She undertook assessment, coordination and review of packages of support for young people and their families, including the provision of specialist services.

Amanda has also worked within a statutory sector Assessment and Family Support Team for Suffolk County Council. This involved working in multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate and implement packages of support to promote the welfare of the child.

Prior to qualifying as a social worker, Amanda worked in an independent school for children and young people with severe emotional and behavioural difficulties, learning disabilities and complex needs. She also worked within a voluntary sector family centre where she supported children who were experiencing social or family problems.

Amanda is registered with the General Social Care Council, and is a member of BABICM at Practitioner level.
