Pam Foreman, BHSc (Hons)

Neuro Occupational Therapist

Pam qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1995 with an Honours degree from the University College of Ripon & York St John.  She has spent most of her career working in the NHS, specialising in the rehabilitation of adults who have neurological deficits.  She has worked with individuals in the acute hospital setting, a regional rehabilitation unit, and acute and rehabilitation stroke units.  This has enabled her to acquire a wide range of clinical skills, teaching and training experience and managerial skills.  Her experience includes the assessment and rehabilitation of individuals with neurological conditions, acquired brain injury, back pain, and complex medical and orthopaedic conditions and the elderly.

She joined Anglia Case Management in 2007 and now works with a wide range of adult clients as part of the Community Rehabilitation Service.  This involves assessing clients in the community and delivering bespoke rehabilitation programmes with a rehabilitation assistant. Intervention varies according to need, but can include activities of daily living, cognitive rehabilitation, behavioural programmes and assistance with return to work or other vocational activity.

She is a member of Occupational Therapists in Private Practice and the College of Occupational Therapists Specialist Section: Neurological Practice, taking the role of East Anglia Regional Secretary from 2000 to 2002.  She is registered with the Health Professionals Council and maintains an up-to-date membership of the professional body for Occupational Therapy staff in the UK, the British Association of Occupational Therapists, and has undergone a Criminal Records Bureau check.
