Brain Injury Case Manager

Suzanne’s expertise is based on a nursing career of over twenty eight years. Formerly a State Enrolled Nurse, she qualified as a State Registered Nurse in 1996.

Suzanne joined ACM in September 2009, and prior to this she worked with Health Dialog UK Limited and BUPA Health Dialog as a Health Coach. In this role she coached clients with long term chronic conditions towards taking responsibility for their Health. The role included giving clients education, information and support.

Suzanne has also worked as a Nurse/Care manager for a Client with a Spinal Injury, assisting with planning her accommodation, equipment and nursing requirements for her return home from hospital. She worked alongside and managed the support team.

Suzanne has held various positions at St Nicholas’ Hospice, Bury St Edmunds, primarily working with patients with cancer and other terminal illnesses. These positions included Senior Nurse, Day Care and RGN, In-patients unit. The roles required assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient and family care. Additionally she undertook liaison with Multi Disciplinary Teams and Primary Health Care Teams. Her roles included teaching and supporting families, colleagues and volunteers.

During 1999 she was appointed as Senior Nurse to the Breast Care Unit at West Suffolk Hospital, where she was responsible for clinic coordination, assisting with investigations and results. She specialised in Lymphoedema management and ran her own clinic.

Suzanne joined Anglia Case Management in September 2009 as a Brain Injury Case Manager, and is a member of BABICM at Practitioner level.
