Karen qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1980, and since 1994 has specialised in working with children and young people, and their families. Karen joined ACM in 2010.
Prior to joining ACM, Karen worked in a social care team providing assessment and advice on equipment and housing adaptations for disabled children; she also has experience in the funding and planning of housing adaptations. She has worked with multi-disciplinary teams of professionals such as Social Workers, Schools, Housing Officers, Project Managers, Surveyors and Architects. In addition to her role as a Case Manager, Karen can also provide housing and equipment assessments for Children and Young People.
Karen is a member of BABICM at Registered Practitioner level.
