Joanne qualified as a Physiotherapist from Brunel University College in 1995. She joined Anglia Case Management in 2011 as a Case Manager working with Adult clients who have sustained a traumatic brain injury as well as those with spinal injury. Jo has worked in the field of neurology since 1999 and specialised in working with clients with brain injuries from 2005.
Jo has a varied case load, including clients with complex physical and cognitive needs, and those who function more independently in the community with minimal support. Whilst supporting the holistic needs of her clients, she maintains long-term therapeutic relationships with them and their families. She has also arranged new care packages and undertaken recruitment and line management of support staff.
Prior to joining Anglia Case Management Jo worked for the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust, where she had a clinical case load as well as managing the physiotherapy service. Jo has also worked in a neuro-community service in East Cambridgeshire, where she worked with a wide range of neurology clients in settings including nursing homes, hospital wards, outpatients and community.
In addition to her Case Management role, Jo is a member of the Manual Handling team, delivering expert advice and training. She has completed BTEC Level 3 Advanced Award in Moving and Handling People and Equipment.
Jo is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists interested in Neurology, and the Health and Care Professions Council. She is also a member of BABICM at Advanced Practitioner level.
