Karen has extensive experience of working with clients who have a cognitive impairment as well as physical difficulties, as a result of an acquired brain injury. She has worked with clients in both hospital and community settings.
Karen has developed individual support plans to achieve person-centred goals, in particular working with a non-acute Neurological Rehabilitation ward, developing an early supported discharge pathway.
Having qualified as a Social Worker in 2000, Karen continued her professional development and has a BSc (Hons) in Social Work Practice, and a ILM level 5 Diploma in Management. Karen is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, and holds membership of the British Association of Brain Injury Case Managers at Registered Practitioner level.
