Case Manager / Care Expert
Marion’s expertise is based on over 20 years working experience since qualifying as an Occupational Therapist. She has worked with people in acute hospitals, rehabilitation units and community settings.
Having qualified from St Andrews Hospital, Northampton, she initially worked on a rotational scheme, obtaining valuable experience on young disabled units, providing rehabilitation, assessing for specialist equipment with patients who had sustained traumatic injuries or those with progressive neurological conditions.
She then spent 8 years working as a Senior 1 Occupational Therapist with Social Services in Norfolk, assessing the needs of clients with very complex conditions, including traumatic injuries and long term neuro-degenerative conditions. Her case load included adults, children and young people with a range of conditions, also those with cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy. She was actively involved in dealing with major adaptation work and specialist equipment provision during this period of employment.
Marion has considerable experience in community health care, having worked through a local health centre, assessing the needs of disabled people and their carers and providing occupational therapy interventions. This role demanded liaison with multidisciplinary professionals, training of students and wheelchair prescription.
In addition to case management provision, Marion is available to provide Expert Witness reports for litigation purposes, on the care, case management, and rehabilitation needs of adults following traumatic brain injury and other complex neurological conditions.
