Managing Fatigue

Following on from the success of our Fatigue Management group programme in 2015, we will be running the programme again for small groups over 6 weeks from June 2016 in Essex.

Fatigue is one of the most common problems for our clients, and the sessions will help clients (and their support workers) to understand how they can use a variety of strategies and environmental modifications to manage their fatigue, including addressing sleep, relaxation, diet and exercise.

The programme is devised and delivered by our experienced neuro-OTs, and clients are encouraged to attend with one of their support workers.  Each client will identify their aims and what they want to achieve, so that the programme can be focused to meet their needs.  The sessions are enjoyable and practical, and amongst other activities, participants will be involved in making and tasting healthy foods, replacing sugary caffeine-based drinks with healthier options, and even take part in exercise sessions!

The small group enables clients (and Support Workers) to benefit from each others’ experiences, and, very importantly, provided support and encouragement.

If you think your client would benefit from Fatigue Management, please email Pam Foreman, Manager of the CRS, at
