RNLD, Dip SW
At the beginning of my career I qualified as a Specialist Nurse for people with learning disabilities and later went on to qualify as a Social Worker. Throughout my 35 years of experience I have had the privilege of working with lots of individuals and their families in their own homes, and across an array of support settings.
I am dedicated to working in a person-centred way, and since joining ACM I have been able to utilise my skills to help clients identify goals, and then work towards them. My highlights have included supporting someone to gain the confidence to begin accessing her local community following a traumatic brain injury. Currently my work includes supporting a young person to leave a secure hospital placement and move to a community setting.
I very much enjoy my role at ACM and working with clients to secure positive person centred outcomes.
