Managing Director, Clinical Director, Care Expert

My professional background is Occupational Therapy, I qualified in 1986 and it was fairly early on in my career that I knew I wanted to enhance the lives of those living with brain injury and other complex neuro disabilities.  I was probably influenced by my Mum who had a brain tumour removed not long after I qualified as an OT.  This personal experience of what it’s like to live with a long-term neurological disability has undoubtedly helped to shape my clinical practice.  Like many clients I’ve worked with over the years, Mum is amazing in her determination to live life to the full.

My role now is Managing Director and Clinical Director for Adult Services.  I absolutely love the variety that being a Case Manager gives me every day at work and I’m passionate about ensuring that all clients at ACM receive the highest quality case management and rehabilitation services.  I feel really fortunate to lead an amazing group of professionals that help to ensure this happens, who couldn’t do what they do without our admin and support staff.

What keeps me coming into work is knowing that the work we do at ACM gives our clients the opportunity to improve their quality of life.
